Estima.ca is an independent Canadian mortgage information platform. We build simple tools that help home buyers compare sample mortgage rates, estimate monthly payments, and explore what they may be able to afford — without sales pressure and without complicated forms.
What we do
- Compare sample and publicly available mortgage rates from Canadian lenders.
- Estimate monthly mortgage payments, including CMHC/SCHL insurance where applicable.
- Explore affordability ranges and rent-vs-buy scenarios.
- Publish educational guides covering fixed vs variable terms, first-time buyer programs, and provincial nuances.
What we are not
Estima.ca is not a lender, mortgage broker, bank, financial advisor, or legal/tax advisor. We do not originate, approve, fund, or arrange mortgages. The numbers and rates we show are estimates and informational references — they are not offers and do not guarantee any rate, amount, or approval.

- Transparency: we label sample rates, official benchmarks, and marketplace rates separately.
- Simplicity: calculators that work in seconds, with sensible Canadian defaults.
- Independence: we are not owned by a bank or brokerage.
